We thought hosting our welcome party on Daniel Island (right across the street from our apartment) would be a fun way to kick off our wedding festivities so that everyone can see why we fell in love with it here.
The party will take place in New Realm’s outdoor patio (at the back of their building) with pizza, apps and drinks.
Please dress casually and be comfortable!
The outdoor space is covered, but not enclosed.

For anyone who would like to continue the celebrations with us, we invite you to see more of downtown Charleston at our after party at Lamar's. This funky little club is in the heart of downtown on the infamous King Street (and only ten minutes from the venue, the Marriot, and the Canonborough/Elliotborough neighborhood). There will be a shuttle after the wedding to bring guests to the after party, but you'll have to get yourself home from there (getting an Uber or Lift in downtown Charleston is relatively easy, and the StayDuvet vacation homes are a short walk from here).

Our wedding style is a bit non-traditional.
There will be plenty of Southern food and an open bar, however, there is no sit-down dinner or assigned tables/seats.
We want everyone to enjoy themselves, eat and drink, and socialize. There will be seating for people to sit and eat should they prefer, however, our menu is made to eat without a knife and fork. There will be displays, passed hors d'ouerves, stations and a few fun surprises for dessert (we skipped the cake!).
We want everyone to be comfortable, so please wear what your heart desires. Anything from formal, semi formal, beach formal, dressy formal or dressy casual works for us.
The ceremony will take place outside on the back patio of the venue (we've asked one person from each party to provide their cell phone number as part of the RSVP form in case we have to change plans last minute due to rain). The reception will be inside and on the patios, which are on the water, so there may be a slight breeze in the evening.
GETTING THERE
We will be providing trolley shuttles to the ceremony starting at 5pm from the Charleston Marriot and a central location in the Elliotborough/Canonborough neighborhood at 212 Ashley Ave.
There will be a second loop from each location at 5:20pm, but please note that no additional transportation will be provided after 5:20pm.
We also will be providing trolleys and vans after the ceremony starting at 10:30pm back to the Charleston Marriot, 212 Ashley Ave, as well as to the after party at Lamars Sporting Club with additional loops as needed.
There will be no transportation provided from the after party.

For your convenience, rooms have been reserved at the
Charleston Marriot, 170 Lockwood Boulevard, Charleston
from May 22 through May 26.
